WHILE MOST PEOPLE were on the bus to work at 8.26am yesterday morning, Love Island contestants Jess Shears and Dom Lever were in swimwear on the set of Good Morning Britain.
Why? To celebrate Valentine’s Day by having a fake wedding on a breakfast-time TV show.

All things considered, it’s really not hard to believe that reality TV stars would do something like this. Why wouldn’t they get married on a chat-show? They had their first kiss just after the watershed on ITV.
For these people, a live TV wedding is not that outrageous. There’s no reason why anyone in the general public would suspect this was a joke.
Love Island couple Gabby and Marcel were questioned about Jess and Dom’s wedding that the NME Awards last night, and it didn’t even occur to them that it was a joke wedding. Gabby simply said “I was bloody blown away by it. Jess must have been freezing.”
In general, the wedding wasn’t received very kindly by Twitter. Most people thought it was cringey and others labelled the couple attention seekers. Later on, Jess took to Twitter to backtrack and inform everybody that the wedding was only a joke.
She then added that she’ll be getting married to Dom, for real, in October.
And Dom quote tweeted her with support.
People still didn’t get what part of it was supposed to be a joke.
